Raw Fury Games and Clifftop Games are releasing their point-and-click adventure game Kathy Rain onto mobile at last on November 23rd. Playing as the eponymous detective protagonist, the goal is to investigate the murder of Kathy’s grandfather who died recently. Kathy, armed with a notepad, motorcycle, and her smokes, will wind up diving into a deeper mystery around her hometown as she discovers why her grandfather befell his fate.
If you’re a fan of the 1990’s, you’ll want to check this out. Kathy Rain not only takes its ’90s aesthetic seriously, but it even takes place at a 4:3 aspect ratio with 320×240 resolution. And there’s plenty of pixel art, of course. The dialogue is all voice-acted, directed by Dave Gilbert of Wadjet Eye Games fame. This one will hit on November 23rd, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. So if you have some traveling ahead of you, Black Friday line-waiting, or if you just need a distraction from your family, then this might be well worth it.
