If you’re a strategy game fan, this week has been showering riches on you. The classic Rome: Total War ($9.99) made its appearance on iPad and appears to be in fine form. The quirky, creative, and all-around excellent Steamworld Heist ($0.99) seemingly dropped out of nowhere. Well, I hope you kept room on your plate, because the turn-based party isn’t over yet. Demon’s Rise 2: Lords of Chaos ($7.99), the latest strategy RPG from Wave Light Games hadn’t appeared by the time we did our weekly round-up post last night, but it showed up not long after. If you’re looking for a game to scratch your Final Fantasy Tactics itch, you’ll probably want to check it out.
The bad guy-flavored sequel to the enjoyable Demon’s Rise ($7.99), this sequel lets you see things from the villainous, Carter Dotson-esque side of the equation. It features a huge new campaign, new characters representing a brand new assortment of classes, and tons of loot to collect and abuse. We’ll be doing a full review of the game, but I’ve been hands-on with it for a while and can say that it’s certainly worth checking out.
You can pick up Demon’s Rise 2: Lords of Chaos right now for $4.99, an introductory price that will go up after the launch period is over. That means that if you want the game, it’s probably better to grab it sooner rather than later. We’ll have a more in-depth look at the game for you in a few days, but for now, why not stop by the thread in our forums to read some of the impressions from our members?
