Distinctive Games has announced that they’ve teamed up with Jamaal Charles, Kansas City Chiefs running back (who’s on his way back from a torn ACL), to release Football Unleashed 17: Jamaal Charles on the App Store this week on October 20th. The idea at the core of the game is that this is simplified, arcade football, with 5-on-5 action. It’s far from a simulation, though, as you can use various powerups called Gamechangers to shake the game up. Such as, summoning lightning bolts to stop players dead in their tracks, or summoning a tornado to turn a big gain into a big loss. Or how about summoning a giant fence to stop runners at the line? You think Bill Belichick wouldn’t take advantage of that if he could?
Various modes including Training where you have to avoid dummies as you sharpen your skills, a Player Draft where you can upgrade your teams, and Daily Missions will round out this game, with Jamaal Charles providing advice along the way.
