If you’ve been itching to play a hex grid turn-based strategy game that costs you zero dollars, Warlords (Free) might just be what the doctor ordered. It’s both got a hefty single player PvE side of things, as well as asynchronous multiplayer for PvP battles. Apparently, the best stuff comes from doing PvE too, which is pretty neat as these F2P games seem to trend heavily towards PvP stuff. Check out the trailer:

There’s over 30 unlockable characters in the game, and it’ll be interesting to see where the freemium shenanigans land once I get a little deeper. So far it seems pretty solid, but, the whole reason we’re doing those freemium followup articles now is because balancing can shift pretty heavily in these kind of games- Regardless of how generous the games seem out the gate.

Either way, Warlords seems pretty cool, particularly for the initial asking price of zero dollars.
