Ninja Pizza Girl is an upcoming platformer from Disparity Games, a family development studio comprised of a husband, wife, and their four daughters. The game has launched on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Steam, and is heading for release on iOS and Android. You may recall we checked out an early version of the game running on an iPad back at GDC in March, and really liked what we saw. Well, according to the developer’s Twitter account, the iOS version is close to completion and currently they’re working with Apple to decide the best time to launch the game in the App Store. Which means, hopefully soon! Check out the launch trailer for Ninja Pizza Girl.
As you can see, Ninja Pizza Girl is literally about delivering pizzas through a cyberpunk city. As the game’s story goes, you’ll play as Gemma, “a sixteen-year-old girl working as a pizza delivery ninja for her father’s independent Pizzeria. In a world where slums teeter on top of skyscrapers, where powerful mega-corporations exploit the poor and where quality pizza is hard to come by, Gemma must fight to keep her ideals, her family and their business intact in face of the most merciless enemies known to any teenage girl – other teenagers." Besides being about delivering piping hot discs of cheese and sauce, Ninja Pizza Girl is also about “self-esteem, bullying and resilience" as Gemma must deal with rival couriers in the city. The visual style looks really cool, as does the fast-paced platforming, so hopefully we’ll be playing Ninja Pizza Girl on iOS in the very near future. Until then, check out more about the game in our forums.
