Nitrome’s got a cool-looking new game releasing this week called Stretch Dungeon. You’ll play as an old bearded man who can’t really do anything physically to avoid his fade as he slides down this strange dungeon he’s in. But thankfully, this old dude has some powerful telekinesis to manipulate the walls of this dungeon, and as such, the goal becomes to manipulate the walls to keep this old dude safe. Though, he was locked in prison, maybe there was a reason…

Wall manipulation has different effects, seemingly all about stretching them all outward, which can be used to form stopgaps to avoid timed traps and cause the old dude to jump upward, for example. There’s a lot of possibilities for this gameplay system, and I’m curious to see just how it all works when it releases this week – that might mean Wednesday sometime most likely, or possibly Thursday, probably not Friday but Nitrome might feel like fighting the system. And by the system, I mean the Gregorian calendar.
Update: Hmm, seems like this old fellow doesn’t have telekinesis:
youre a guy thats been locked in a dungeon. The walls are moving in your mind because protagonists going crazy. Not a superpower.

Thanks for the coverage btw. Much appreciated. It all becomes clear in the games ending (at least we hope).

I guess you’ll have to download the game this week and find out what’s going on…
