‘Paranormal Minis’ Rises from the Dead onto the App Store

TouchArcade Rating:

Ravenous Games have created a large following over the years by releasing excellent pixel platformers and shooters, with League of Evil ($2.99) being one of the first true twitch action games in the mould of Super Meat Boy. Today marks a dramatic change to their well-refined formula, as Paranormal Minis (Free) has finally been released after a turbulent development period that stretches back two and a half years of development all the way to 2014. Instead of requiring razor sharp reflexes and pixel perfect jumping skills, Paranormal Minis has numerous similarities to the early App Store breakout hit Zombieville ($0.99), and mainly consists of side-scrolling shooter action.

While Paranormal Minis may not be the most innovative game ever, the developer’s significant pedigree on the App Store coupled with the promise of three worlds, 4 playable characters with customisable load-outs and numerous weapons to saw (quite literally in some cases) down the rushing horde of undead monsters mean it will hopefully be as fun as the original Zombieville series was to play. Having had so much time to resurrect and refine the game since 2014, Paranormal Minis should be drop-dead delightful – share your brains with us on our forums.
