During GDC last month, I had the chance to sit down with ex-Halfbrick designer Layton Hawkes and talk about his experience striking out on his own and developing his first solo game, a logic puzzler called Puzzlepops! Despite its bright colors and candy theme, Puzzlepops! is a truly hardcore puzzle game that will test your brain to the fullest. I was really impressed with it at GDC, and I’m happy to learn that Puzzlepops! is finished and has a release set for May 12th. Check out the brand new trailer.
Whoa, that trailer really brings the funk! As I said before, Puzzlepops! is no cakewalk. Some of the later levels in the game might actually break my brain, but in a good way.
