Tigertail Games is releasing a new game on Thursday, January 21st called QixSpin. The game has you hunting down for shapes on a cube that you spin around to find, with more points awarded for going quickly. But you have to multitask as you do this, as you also have bonus switches that occasionally pop up on the bottom of the level, which award you more points for doing well. Your number one goal is to beat the level before time runs out, but a gold star is in your future if you can score well enough.
QixSpin does a good job at being this fast, frantic puzzler that forces you to quickly learn a situation and operate well within it, while still being simple enough for a casual player to play. The game features 60 levels at launch, well-made 3D visuals at 60 FPS and dynamic HDR lighting, and a crazy-low $0.99 price point. I’ve had fun with it in my time with it, and it’s worthy of your consideration when it releases.
