Renegade Kid’s Mutant Mudds ($4.99) has been broken on iOS for a while now, wth iOS 8 adding protagonist Max’s skull to its wall of trophies of games that were broken with that system update. But with recent promises that the game was finally getting the update that would make it work and add in some of the content that didn’t make it to the mobile version, we had reason to hope that Max would be hopping between foreground and background layers once more. And lo, the day has come: Mutant Mudds has been updated and now works properly on current iOS versions.

The new content added as IAP is the Ghost Levels, 20 new levels that were originally available as an update to the Wii U version of the game. These will promise to test you even further than the rest of this challenging game, with a total of 80 levels to play through now. This is a really good platformer, and now that it’s working on iOS again, you have plenty of reason to check it out.
