Waste in Space is the new game coming from developer Moony Baboon, which is comprised of the two brothers Marco and Simone Tormento. The title of the game is quite literal to what it’s actually about: garbage floating in space. In the year 2026 trash has become such a problem that all the nations of Earth decide to blast all their trash into space. Great idea! Except it doesn’t go according to plan, and now all that trash is threatening to rain back down on Earth’s inhabitants, likely resulting in fiery, gruesome, garbage-y deaths. To combat this threat, a team of “super trained space scavengers" will launch into space and destroy all the trash using wacky physics-based swinging. Check it out.
I love the silly premise behind Waste in Space, and I absolutely love crazy physics games like Hanger World (Free), which this is very similar to, Soccer Physics (Free), Turbo Dismount (Free) and Wrassling (Free). Plus I love the art style and whole vibe of Waste in Space. Basically, I’m digging everything I’ve seen about this one, and am looking forward to its release. If you feel similarly, there’s a thread in our forums for discussion and you can look for Waste in Space to arrive at some point in January.
