One of the defining characteristics of Playdead’s critically-acclaimed 2010 puzzle platformer Limbo ($3.99) is its silhouetted visual style and dark mood. But you know what Limbo is missing? Santa Claus. Digi-Chain Games plans on rectifying that with their tongue-in-cheek Christmas take on Limbo called Crimbo. Like Limbo, the silhouetted style of Crimbo allows for plenty of deadly traps to hide in the scenery and spring on poor Santa with little to no notice.
Crimbo looks like some silly fun, and hey, how could you not want to play a game with Santa Claus ski jumping? Or flying with a balloon? Expect 12 different levels of trap-laden platforming when Crimbo launches in early December for free.
