It’s difficult for any mobile game to stand out, especially casual puzzle games where the difference between one game to another is difficult to perceive even for experts. But I think one way to stand out is by having high-quality production values, and Scramble 7 does just that along with a solid concept. It’s a number-sliding game where you have to rearrange the rows and columns of numbers back into order in a limited number of moves. The game gets progressively harder through a leveling system, where solving a puzzle in fewer tries gets you more experience to level up, showing that you’ve become an expert at the challenges that experience level has to offer.
The game does feature well-done art that makes it look like a high-quality, professional production. And the sound design, which you probably couldn’t hear in the trailer due to it being muted thanks to YouTube’s Content ID, goes a long way toward making every move and solution feel satisfying and like you accomplished something. It’s a tiny touch that goes a long way. Scramble 7 launches for free on October 22nd.
