You Could Win One Of Three Prizes Just For Playing ‘Final Fantasy: Record Keeper’ This Month

TouchArcade Rating:

DeNA and Square Enix’s Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (Free) has been a pretty big success overall, doing a nice job of washing the bad taste of Final Fantasy: All The Bravest out of many fans’ mouths. The latest update just hit with a bunch of great UI and gameplay improvements, like being able to master and equip multiple Soul Break moves on one character, and to celebrate, the publishers are throwing a little contest that runs through the end of August.

Starting from yesterday through the end of the month, you have a chance to win one of five somewhat hard-to-find Cloud figures signed by the man who designed the character, Tetsuya Nomura. To enter, you just have to beat the very first level of the game, the tutorial that takes place in Final Fantasy 7‘s Mako Reactor. Simply tap on the Special icon that appears on the main Realms screen of the game and tap “Enter" to, well, enter the contest.

From August 14th through the end of the month, you’ll also have a chance to win one of five PlayStation 4 consoles. Just the thing to play the forthcoming remake of Final Fantasy 7 on, along with many other fine upcoming Square Enix RPGs. The level you’ll need to beat here is Final Fantasy 7‘s Mako Reactor No. 5 Classic, which is another super-easy stage that you’ve likely already beaten. Same deal here, head to the Realms screen after the appropriate date has come and hit the Special icon to enter.

The last prize is a pretty cool one, in my opinion. Starting from August 17th and running to the end of the month, you can enter for a chance to win the grand prize, a $4,000 United Airlines gift certificate. You could use that to go all kinds of places! Why, you could even visit Japan and request Square Enix update Drake Rider and Song Summoner in person! All you have to do to qualify for this one is beat the Final Fantasy 10 stage Zanarkand Classic, then hit the Special icon and enter at the appropriate time.

You can find all the rules and fine print at the official Final Fantasy: Record Keeper website, if you’re into legal mumbo-jumbo. Since pretty much anyone can enter due to how early those levels are, your chances probably aren’t great, but hey – someone has to win, right?
