A pretty cool looking trailer came across my virtual desk today, and I thought it looked interesting enough to share with you all. The trailer is for a game called Shadowbug, a ninja-themed action-adventure game with a similar silhouetted visual style to games like Limbo ($3.99) or Badland ($0.99), but with an attack-linking combat system which has been used in plenty of games but immediately reminded me of the targeting system in the Sonic 4 games. (Yes I was one of the few people who actually liked Sonic 4 and that auto-targeting system.) It’s a little tough to explain, so check out the gameplay video for Shadowbug to get an idea of what it’s all about.
Shadowbug is the work of three-person development house Muro Studios, and as of this past weekend the beta version of the game has just gone live. If you’re interested in checking out the beta version of Shadowbug for yourself (and you are at least 13 years old), you can sign up for the beta on their website. If early versions aren’t your thing, then look for the finished version of Shadowbug to arrive sometime late this year.
