Heads up! It’s later than the rest of the weekly releases, but Activision and Lucid Games’ Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions ($9.99) has just hit the App Store. It might not be live for you yet, but it will be at this link. As promised, it’s $4.99, without IAP, and available worldwide. It’s a faithful adaptation of the game released on console and PC late last year, lacking the Evolved content added in, but potentially coming down the road. Still, it’s a bargain over the $14.99 price some people paid for the game. And hey, this supports Metal and MFi controllers!
Check out my impressions from the other day for more on the game. With Geometry Wars: Touch gone from the App Store now, this is the only Geometry Wars game you can play on iOS. It’s got all the modes from that and Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2 along with the single player campaign a la Geometry Wars: Galaxies, so there’s a lot to do here.
