And the frights keep on coming. If you visit Scott Cawthon’s website today, you’ll discover that he’s released the third teaser for the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s 4, the new installment in his extremely popular series Five Nights at Freddy’s ($2.99). From what we can gather so far and barring any unplanned issues with inanimate objects coming to life, FNAF 4 is planned to unleash its jump scares onto the world on Halloween Day, 2015. The new teaser image confirms that Chica will be joining the other two revealed characters for FNAF 4, Freddy and Bonnie. This version of Chica has one extra row of teeth, which is “great" news if you’re one of those whose nightmares are haunted by Scott Cawthon’s animatronics. Once the new teaser image was brightened by some reddit users, the word “Nightmare" could be seen, leading many to dub this animatronic, “Nightmare Chica."
On Chica’s shoulder, we can see a nightmare version of the cupcake desk ornament, just to make the whole image creepier. It should be noted that the desk ornament was never an enemy in the FNAF series, so I wonder if even the desk will be out to scare you this time around. Finally, the teaser includes the phrase “Was it me?" which has led many on reddit to claim that the teaser question refers to the now-infamous Bite of ’87 event and to ask whether this is an undeniable clue that FNAF 4 will take place during those fateful events (if that’s Cawthon’s goal, you’d better hold on to your frontal lobes). Stay tuned for more FNAF 4 teasers and info as they are revealed by the evil mastermind that is Scott Cawthon.
