Happymagenta has just launched its latest game, another high-score-chaser called Splish Splash Pong (Free). Don’t worry, this isn’t a Circle Pong (Free) clone. The game has you controlling a duck swimming between two barriers, trying to dodge the enemies that cross through between those barriers. You can tap on the screen to switch directions, in order to stay alive and keep racking up points.

You can collect coins and watch video ads to get more, allowing you to spend them on new characters. This includes the eponymous Cube Koala (Free). Characters making cameos in other video games are kind of my thing, so I appreciate this far more than I should. Splish Splash Pong won’t win any game of the year awards, unless someone makes it out to be the next Desert Golfing ($1.99), perhaps, but it’s a fun little way to pass the time, with solid pixel art to boot. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
