Earlier today we sat down with Disco Pixel, makers of the rhythm title Jungle Rumble: Freedom, Happiness and Bananas ($3.99). Since its release in 2014, Jungle Rumble has seen enough success in various markets to warrant some significant updates, which were revealed to us at GDC.
The first significant update, scheduled to hit at the end of March, focuses on providing additional assistance to novice players. Specifically, the update will debut a revamped tutorial for beginners as well as additional side quests. The side quests will focus specifically on walking players through the more advanced strategies and mechanics that the game employs in later levels. The upcoming patch will also include new levels for players pining for additional content.
The second update, which has a tentative release of the end of April, will focus exclusively on additional levels. In fact, that update will launch new missions on a weekly basis. While weekly missions will cover a variety of difficulties and strategies, most will be on the harder side to provide hardcore players with additional difficulty.
Jungle Rumble: Freedom, Happiness and Bananas is currently available on the App Store so players interested can check it out now while they are waiting on the upcoming updates.
