Crescent Moon Games’ next major internally-developed game is coming next week. Exiles releases on January 29th. This is another open-world RPG from Crescent Moon, this time taking place in the future. You control an Elite Enforcer of either male or female gender and of one of three classes, fighting aliens and a corrupt government to help save this futuristic space colony. But really, that’s all just an excuse to ride around hoverbikes on a massive planet, though there’s plenty of interiors to explore on foot with a number of weapons to blast your enemies with.
The game has been out on Android since December, and launched in a playable pre-release version, but the game’s been getting some additional tweaking and polishing for its big iOS release. Crescent Moon knows how to make visually-impressive open-world games on mobile, and they’re including real-time shadows and a day/night system. There’s no IAP and gamepad support will be included as well. There’s not a lot of other studios making games of such scope on iOS, so this is really one to keep an eye on when it hits next week. The game is $6.99 on Android, and that’s the typical Crescent Moon price for big releases, so expect the same here.
