We finally have a release date for Telltale’s upcoming Game of Thrones series. The iOS version releases next Thursday, December 4th, with the first of six episodes in tow. This is actually very close to launch parity with the other platforms getting the game, as most other platforms get it a day or two before. Tales from the Borderlands has launched on other platforms but not on mobile yet. Still, it’s impressive enough launching all these games on so many platforms near one another that Telltale deserves some slack for any delays, and Game of Thrones is coming out on each system’s general release day (Tuesday for PSN, Wednesday for Xbox, Thursday for iOS).
What we know about the game is that players will control a cast of characters from House Forrester in the universe of the HBO show Game of Thrones. Lena Headey and Peter Dinklage are in the game as Cersei and Tyrion Lannister respectively, in both likeness and voice. Other than that, we’ll see how this all shakes out next week, though I would expect people to die. Here’s our previous coverage of this hotly-anticipated series:
