Adult Swim Games’ latest title is coming out on Thursday, Day of the Viking. Developed by Vorax Studios, this is a castle defense game that has a touch of fast-paced action to it. Vikings are invading, because that’s just what they do. Players must fire of a barrage of arrows, with a rock catapult to help fend off large waves of enemies. Coins get dropped while playing, with a particular challenge to try and collect them, as there’s a coin collector unit that is scared off by enemy contact, so getting coins far away from the castle will require some smart shooting. There’s a number of different level layouts, so levels on a hilltop? Ready them rocks.
There is an upgrade system to make arrows more plentiful and powerful, along with more powerful rock slingshots and better runners. There’s a total of 80 levels, along with an endless mode. While there’s plenty of castle defense games out there, it feels like it’s been a while since one, and Adult Swim usually publishes good enough games that even the skeptical might want to keep an eye on this one when it releases on Thursday.
