Glue Knight (Free) has had a weird life on the App Store so far. It was released for free in late August as a sleeper indie game no one paid much attention to, then folks figured out it was actually really good and it seemed like the developer upped the price to 99¢ when he saw the downloads start to spike. Well, the game is free once again, so if you missed it the first time around as a freebie, here’s your chance.
We talked about the game on episode 171 of our podcast and reviewed it, but the easiest way to describe it is a Super Meatboy-like. It feels like everything in this game kills you, which (for me, anyway) typically just winds up in you laughing at yourself as you get farther than you ever have in a level only to just instantly die on the next obstacle you encounter.
If you like difficult games, definitely snag this freebie. Also, keep in mind you can choose any area in the level select screen, so make sure you try a bunch of levels before deleting it if you find yourself getting frustrated.
