HyperDevbox, who you may know from their ports of ExZeus 2 ($1.99) and Spectral Souls (Free) to iOS, have announced in our forums that they’ll soon be bringing the tactical RPG Record of Agarest War to the iOS platform as well. Originally developed by Idea Factory, Record of Agarest War was released as far back as 2007 on the PlayStation 3 in Japan, and in the years that followed has made its way to Xbox 360 and PC in Europe and North America as well as Japan. HyperDevbox has already released an Android port of the game back in December of last year, which you can see in action in the trailer below.
According to details in the forum post, Record of Agarest War contains over 100 hours of gameplay, hundreds of different enemies and magic spells, and 40 cutscene videos with full voice acting (Japanese only, though there will be English subtitles). The iOS version will also feature iCloud support, Game Center for achievements and leaderboards, and Universal iPad support. It sounds like it will be quite a meaty experience for fans of strategy RPGs. Record of Agarest War is already submitted to Apple and should arrive soon, so be on the lookout for it.
