'Space Hulk' Developers Post New Q&A Video

Tuesday, April 30th, 2013

This past December, Games Workshop announced that a new iteration of Space Hulk, a turn-based strategy game based in the Warhammer 40k universe, would be coming to PC, Mac, and iOS devices this year. We talked with the developers in a bonus podcast back in March, and our pals over at Board Game Geek got some time with the PC version at GDC, which should be comparable to the iPad version, and posted a hands-on video earlier this month. Today, Full Control, who are developing Space Hulk for Games Workshop, posted a developer Q&A video talking about some of the aspects of the upcoming title. Check it out.

It sounds like Full Control has more of these Q&A videos planned, so if you have a question you want to ask the developers head over to the Space Hulk Facebook page and ask away. We'll keep you in the loop as more information is released, including a firm launch date when there is one, as Space Hulk works its way towards the desktop and iOS platforms later this year.

Praise The Emperor: Here's Some Footage Of 'Space Hulk'

Wednesday, April 3rd, 2013

If the words Space Hulk make you feel all funny on the inside, you should probably give the below video a look. Board Game Geek sat down with creator Full Control at GDC in San Francisco last week and the studio gave them a pretty good look at the PC version of the turn-based strategy game. Luckily, they had a camera handy.

We've heard that the PC and iPad versions of the game will launch alongside each other, so it seems pretty reasonable to assume that the two won't have many differences outside of the iPad version's touch interface and (presumably) toned down graphics.

We're not really sure if it's possible to want this game anymore than we do. Space Hulk is due out later in 2013, but it'd be great if Full Control finished it, like, yesterday.

'Space Hulk' Announced for iOS

Monday, December 10th, 2012

Games Workshop has just announced a Space Hulk game for PC, Mac, and iPhone and iPad for release in 2013. The game's new web site has some super teaser-y images up, as well as a features list. The one that's catching our eye: cross-platform multiplayer across all of these listed platforms.

Space Hulk started out as a just a Warhammer 40K board game, but it's seen a couple of digital games releases across PC, PlayStation, and even on mobile phones in 2005. This latest version of Space Hulk is set to be a 3D, turn-based strategy game with a single-player campaign, as well as co-op content. You'll, of course, be playing as a terminator squad against the Genestealers on-board a corridor-filled space hulk.

If you're saying what right now, your best bet is to check out the game's riveting -- and boy do we mean riveting -- Wikipedia page. It explains what a space hulk is, what a Space Marine is, what Genestealers are, and touches on the history of the board game in addition to other fun facts.
