Elemelons, Free - So you think you can swipe?

Once upon a time, the Earth was cursed because of the vanity of human beings and all the time they spent on social networks. The curse destroyed the entire planet and its guardians cringed as the four elements – earth, air, water, and fire – were transformed into melons and spun out into space. The four melons were named the ELEMELONS.

A prophecy revealed that there would be men who would guide the Elemelons home to rebuild Earth. You are one of these chosen to guide them back. Swipe them in the right direction and take the Elemelons to the walls that match their colors, and save the ones being pulled the wrong way.

Compete for the best score in the Universe. Swipe and save all the Elemelons!

This week's podcast is home to two minor miracles: Jared didn't need to take Friday off so we recorded at a normal time, and Mike Meade was awake during the day so he was able to join us. Strap in for a ton of game related talk, as we kick things off with briefly touching on Leap Day [Free] again before moving on to Extreme Forklifting 2 [Free], Imbroglio [$3.99], Titan Quest [$7.99], Ulterior [Free], and Bushido Bear [Free]. From there, as usual, we chat about all the week's biggest news stories and hottest controversies (of which there was at least one).

It's Friday the 13th, which means ... an extra spooky podcast. Or not, actually it isn't really spooky at all. I had a super expensive bottle of beer explode on my shelf last night, so maybe it is spooky, we just didn't capture it in the recording. Anyway, we talk about a load of really awesome iPhone games this week, including but not limited to Trump's Wall [Free], Leap Day [Free], Final Friday [Free], Caterzillar [$2.99], Gravity Switch [Free], Sloomy [Free], and Jared even live-deleted Bejeweled Stars [Free]. We then shift gears to talking about the news of the week, and other random stuff. It's a good time, I promise.

We kick off the show this week by talking about our weekends last week: Jared didn't get eaten by bears while camping, and I managed to not get soaked to the bone at Dark Lord Day. From there, we switch gears to talking a bit about the HTC Vive VR headset and wondering what type of VR will "win" the inevitable VR format war. Then, we dive head first into talking about a bunch of super rad games that were releases this week including Joan Mad Run [Free], Black Hole Joyrider [$0.99], Hungry Shark World [Free], and Inks [$1.99].

Hello, friends! It's that time of the month once more, which means we've got a delicious hot 'n ready episode of the RPG Reload Podcast ready for your consumption! The main topic this time around is Crescent Moon's Ravensword: Shadowlands [$6.99], and we ended up doing something a little different from usual. Due to conflicting holidays, Andy wasn't able to make it for the recording of this episode, so taking his spot in the third chair is none other than Crescent Moon's very own Josh Presseisen. The format's a little different this time around, and we ended up powering right on through without taking a break. I'd like to give a big thank you to Josh for coming on the show and answering a lot of questions, some of which were a little tough...

We recorded early this week, as Jared and I both have crazy stuff going on this weekend. Jared is going on some kind of crazy camping trip, and I'm going to Dark Lord Day at the Three Floyds Brewery. We both might not make it back from each of our adventures alive, in which case, 255 is a pretty great number to end on I guess. Anyway, we chat quite a bit about the various big announcements of the week like Nintendo bringing Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem to the App Store, along with talking about the following new iOS games: Loop Drive 2 [Free], Goo Saga [$4.99], War Tortoise [Free], and Outdodge [Free]. It's a good time, I promise.

Hi there, friends! It's time once again for the RPG Reload Podcast, where Eric, Andy, and I discuss all kinds of things RPG and otherwise. First of all, I have to apologize. This was recorded at the height of a nasty cold I had, and I sound exactly how I felt. I hope to be more perky next month. Our featured game this time around is Hunters Episode One [$4.99 / $4.99 (HD)], which isn't exactly a massive epic. That leaves us with lots of time to talk about other things, and gosh, do we ever. I'd say my favorite part of this episode is hearing about Eric's trip to Blizzard to check out the latest Hearthstone [Free] info. I personally don't know much about the game past playing it a few times here and there, but Eric and Andy are scholarly enough to discuss the topic thoroughly...

This week's podcast is overwhelmed by excitement surrounding two things: The Tesla Model 3 and Miitomo [Free]. If car stuff doesn't interest you (We talk about the rumored Apple Car and other sort of related things as well) skip to around 15:00 in to get straight to the game chat. Aside from a bunch of talk about Miitomo and what it means for the future of Nintendo, we get into Flipped Out [$2.99], the Powerpuff Girls game, along with Extreme Gear: Demolition Arena [Free]. We're pretty big fans of both. Along with that, we chat about a few of the big news stories of the week including some speculation surrounding Pokemon Go.

February 19th, 2016 8:45 PM EDT by Eli Hodapp in Podcast

LogoWe kick off the show this week talking about my recent foray into police work, which is somehow vaguely relevant to discussing the recent drama surrounding Apple taking a stand on iPhone encryption. Since this is an iOS games podcast and all, we talk about the big releases of the week including Tennis Champs Returns [Free], Thumb Drift [Free] and Rayman Classic [$4.99] which spawned a whole different discussion on where Rayman stood in the world of retro gaming. The TouchArcade Show - 244 - Listener Emails!

February 12th, 2016 7:00 PM EDT by Eli Hodapp in Podcast

LogoWe recorded a little early in the week, as today Jared is off at some professional golf thing following Justin Timberlake around. No. For real. Anyway, we kick things off talking about my new furnace, my trip to New York to visit the guys at Turbo and getting a behind the scenes peek at the upcoming Super Senso which we've also been streaming pretty regularly on Mobcrush. We then went through our massive backlog of listener emails, so if you've sent an email in and haven't heard it yet, chances are it's on this show. Games discussed include the onslaught of RPG's released this week such as Adventures of Mana [$13.99], Ys Chronicles II [$4.99], and Final Fantasy IX [$20.99]. From there I gush over the soft launched Saber's Edge for a while, then Jared and I discuss both _PRISM [$2.99] and Tomb of the Mask [Free] before we bring it on home.
