[appicon] Many genres work better on touchscreen devices than they do with traditional controllers. The SRPG genre is one of them and games like Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions [$15.99 (HD)] and The Banner Saga [$9.99] play brilliantly on iOS devices. gumi Inc. is bringing a new SRPG to iOS and Android devices later in the year called The Alchemist Code. This is based on the already available For Whom The Alchemist Exists in Japan on mobile. The Japanese release even saw a collaboration with Final Fantasy XV. This game features the talent of Yoko Shimomura, Shoji Kawamori, and more. You can watch the announcement trailer for it below:

The trailer introduces the two protagonists, Logi and Dias, some of the gameplay mechanics and features music by Yoko Shimomura. The Alchemist Code is set to release as a free to play release with in app purchases. Pre-registration for it will be detailed soon and will no doubt have some rewards.

Knowing Gumi the pay model will most likely be like Brave Frontier...

A bunch of gachas but the game is usually generous enough in its free offerings, lets see how it turns out
