SIGONO’s Narrative Adventure ‘OPUS: Rocket of Whispers’ Arrives on September 14th

Developer SIGONO, formerly known as Team Signal and creators of the fantastic 2015 narrative adventure OPUS: The Day We Found Earth (Free), are back with a follow-up title called OPUS: Rocket of Whispers. Like The Day We Found Earth, Rocket of Whispers is built around a pretty unique premise. You’ll follow the stories of John, the son of a rocket engineer, and Fei, a witch who has been in cryo-sleep for the past twenty years, as they scavenge a post-apocalyptic world in search of enough materials to build a rocket which they’ll use to launch a space burial for the departed souls of their desolate planet. From SIGONO’s own description, “As they gather materials for the rocket, the story behind the demise of their world will slowly unfold through the ruins and artifacts they find."

The scavenging portions of OPUS: Rocket of Whispers plays out from a top-down view as you explore the post-apocalyptic landscape, and much like the previous game The Day We Found Earth, the fantastic soundtrack creates an eerie mood and there’s a heavy focus on the relationship of the two main characters. And more than likely there will be plenty of surprises in store for players to discover, and there might be a lot more to the story than there appears at first. If you haven’t tried OPUS: The Day We Found Earth, I highly suggest checking it out as it’s free to try with IAP to unlock the full game and it’s a really fantastic experience. While I’m not sure how related the two OPUS games will be, it should sufficiently get you geared up for OPUS: Rocket of Whispers which is all set to launch next month on September 14th.
