Square Enix’s ‘Flame Vs Blaze’ MOBA Beta Registration Is Now Open

A few months ago we wrote about Square Enix’s Flame Vs Blaze, a mobile MOBA game that’s been exclusive to Japan but is now coming to this side of the world. And if you want to be among the first to try it out, you’re in luck because the registration for the closed beta is now open (though only for the US and Canada), and you can sign up for it here. Flame Vs Blaze is a 3v3 MOBA with quite a team behind it, including Producer Hironori Okayama (Kingdom Hearts Unchained x), Director Yuji Abe (Final Fantasy XIII series) and character designer Gen Kobayashi (The World Ends With You). The game has some interesting features that help it stand out from most other MOBAs. For instance, when you defeat monsters in the field, they become your allies and assist you either directly or indirectly.

Characters also have the “Mode Shift," which can change your character dramatically while in battle and should make for fun tactical decisions. Matches last 10 minutes, which is a good duration for a mobile game. Overall, Flame Vs Blaze looks like it will be a fun take on the MOBA formula. Check out our forum thread for more on the game.
