Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy is coming to your devices July 20th, and today we got to see the first English trailer for the game. In this new series, Katrielle, assisted by Sherl the talking dog, goes on a mysterious adventure around London. The game features the largest collection of challenging puzzles in the franchise so far, and you can even change Katrielle's outfits, customize the Layton Detective Agency, and play different mini-games (all features that work well on mobile games).

The game is coming to iOS and Android July 20th for $15.99, and I'm sure there are quite a few players waiting to get their hands on this new series. Are you excited for the new series?

    That's an console price interesting

    • Weisse

It's hardly console pricing. Layton games on the 3DS are about $30 - $40.

$15 for a complete game with no random gacha elements and stupid 0 system is fine.

Chill, console price for iOS for people who just want free 2 play

Does that dog have a single giant tooth?

  • AG

Might get it. A lot of effort went into this. Plus love professor Layton on the DS

  • rezn

I’ll pay that price. Even if I can only get one copy for my daughter. She’s been playing these since she was like 10.

  • curtisrshideler

    PREMIUM price?!? Count me in!

  • curtisrshideler

In the absence of really good Sherlock Holmes games on the App Store, this'll do. 😉

  • porsupah

Not having played any of the previous Layton games, is this a good point to leap in?

  • pouffie

I don't trust that company anymore. The Layton brothers app has been broken since ages and they have never updated it. So much for consumer service.... And the app will probably disappear with ios 11

    • OverlordOcelot

The Layton Brothers app was updated on July 6th of this year. I assume you made this comment because you deleted it prior to that?

      • pouffie

My bad, I will download it now and see if they fixed the music issue

  • gust0208

It looks like a full Layton game and will be a steal at $15.99. Greatly enjoyed the 3ds titles and this looks to be similar in quality and maybe some more diverse puzzles based on the trailer.

I've only played a couple Layton Titles but I'm definitely getting this and the rest of them for my daughter when she discovers the magic of handheld gaming.
