‘Hoggy 2’ Out Now on Mac and Windows, Mobile Versions Still in the Works

It feels like it’s been ages since we’ve seen a new release from Raptisoft, and that’s because it has been ages! Back in January of last year, Raptisoft announced a sequel to their beloved 2009 puzzle platformer Hoggy (Free), and alongside that announcement we explained what had been going on with the solo developer that had pushed back their game development for several years. At that time, Hoggy 2 was close to completion and shooting for an early 2016 release. Unfortunately that didn’t happen, but development continued and the following September it looked like Hoggy 2 was heading for a November release instead. Well, that didn’t happen either. Hey, game development isn’t easy!

So here we are in April of 2017 and at long last Hoggy 2 has finally launched… on desktop. At least it’s a start! You can buy Hoggy 2 for Windows through the official website, or on Mac through the Mac App Store. Both will set you back a cool 5 bucks, and right now Raptisoft is working on getting the game onto Steam as well. After that the mobile versions should be coming… pretty soon? Raptisoft hasn’t really been specific with dates, but you can typically find all the latest info over on their official forums. At the very least this gives the more impatient fans among us (raises hand) a chance to experience Hoggy 2 in some fashion, and hopefully it won’t be too much longer until we can play this one on mobile.
