Minecraft: Pocket Edition [$6.99] developers continue to give us skins and texture packs, and today we are getting one of the best ones so far. The latest update has brought the world of Bethesda's Fallout to Minecraft, and it's pretty cool. The Fallout Mash-Up Pack celebrates the classic series by bringing a complete overhaul of the game's texture. Gone are the lovely, green pastures and hills; all you'll have now is an irradiated, brownish landscape. And as you would expect, all the mobs have undergone some interesting mutations, with two-headed cows, ghouls, and huge scorpions roaming the landscape. Even the llamas couldn't escape this fate.

And, of course, you'll get a wide variety of very familiar skins to use that come straight from the video games, including, of course, the famous Fallout Vault Boy, as well as a soundtrack that pulls music from across the whole series. This is a great texture pack for those looking to build adventure maps. The Fallout Mash-Up Pack is available in the Store and will cost you $5.99.

It's a texture pack a skin pack and a map pack

      • POST MAN

yeah i'd be tempted to buy if the maps from those stills are there.

      • Taeles

agreed. is the map pack the actual fallout 4 world map fallout'ized?

I don't play fallout, so I don't know how close it is to the fallout 4 world, but there are a lot of pre-generated structures with a lot of chests and loot. It looks really awesome. I think we saw the Lincoln and Washington monuments, so if that is in the game maybe it's close. There is an awesome subway system. The stills above are definitely from the map. My husband and I started playing the map together yesterday and we really like it.

I stand by my original statement. It's a $7 game, you're almost paying for the entire game over again just for a skin/maps/whatever. Stuff that would be free if iOS wasn't a closed operating system. To everyone their own though...I don't even play the game

Nice way for Mojang for to cater to an older audience on PE without actually driving the age rating of Minecraft up. As the audience that continues to play Minecraft dwindles, I just hope it'll consist more of people that can maintain discussion of what's happening to the game.
