If you’re interested in a good, interesting side-scrolling shoot ’em up, Sine Mora ($4.99) is only $0.99 right now. This shmup has traversed several different platforms, finally seeing release on mobile several years ago. Developed by noted game designer Suda51’s Grasshopper Manufacture, this is an expansive shooter with an involved storyline. The iOS release happened back in 2013, but it’s still a rather interesting game to this day, and now it’s $0.99 for a limited time. Check out our review from 2013!

What intrigues me about Sine Mora is not just the action, which incorporates time manipulation in interesting ways, but the cinematic feel of the game. There’s the whole story to follow, and an interesting aesthetic, all used in ways that make the game feel particularly dramatic to experience. It’s an interesting entry in a crowded genre. With Sine Mora EX‘s announcement earlier this year (though not for mobile…yet), now’s a good time to check out the original release of the game, for the bargain-basement price of $0.99.
