I'll be the first to admit I totally don't understand the Bloons phenomenon. The entire series have been absurdly popular on mobile, with Bloons TD 5 [$2.99] soaking up nearly ten million downloads since it was released. Those sorts of numbers are unheard of for most premium games on the App Store, but people are just wild about Bloons. Whatever the secret sauce is that makes the game so sticky, it'll be interesting to see how Bloons TD 6 does, which was just announced by Ninja Kiwi late last week.

Aside from the fact that Bloons TD 6 is a thing that exists and is eventually coming to mobile, Ninja Kiwi isn't releasing any additional details just yet. It's safe to assume they'll up the ante considerably, particularly looking at how much Bloons TD 5 evolved through updates over the years. So, if you're one of the millions of people who are just wild about Bloons, keep your eyes peeled for this one.

Finally some positive news about top selling premium games it proves that people still want to pay up for premium games.I hope that in the future the triple AAA console titles also have a mobile release and I don't mean a quick cash in but a real mobile version from the original so long that can be achieved.

If they had a real version of the original it would be 60ish dollars, I doubt enough people are willing to pay that to make it worth it to them.

I think the $60,- price point is to much but I am willing to pay €25,-/€30,- for a good AAA port but they have to be careful that at those prices they can
ensure that after an iOS update the games keep working and not the same as the BioShock debacle.

BTD5 is a great TD—if I had to pick one TD (painful!) this might be my choice. I actually hate the art style, but the mass variety of unlockable maps and abilities, and the mass quantities of enemies, won me over.

      Yeah I'd second that

the artstyle is IMO way better than any pixelated game that tries to look realistic because the genre is 100% unrealistic

I actually see alot of youngsters playing Bloons TD Battle

It's one of the better Tower Defense series out there, next to ones like Kingdom Rush. Not too surprising that it has a strong following. I certainly look forward to seeing what they do with the sixth title.
