Mass Effect: Andromeda, Bioware's latest entry in the Mass Effect series, is getting ready to launch across the world on March 21st. As it's been the case with other big games recently, Bioware is launching a companion mobile app that will help players stay engaged with the game's universe even when away from their console or PC. The app, called APEX HQ, is specifically a companion for the game's multiplayer component and will help you keep track of your characters. APEX HQ will show your characters' progression, items, rewards, but it will do more than just display info; the app will also allow you to adjust your character's loadout, spend points on skills, recruit and equip new teams, and even customize team names.

The app will also let you check the leaderboards and your achievements and, of course, read the latest game-related news and visit the game's store. In other words, if you're planning on playing Mass Effect: Andromeda's multiplayer, you should grab APEX HQ. The app is currently in soft launch, but it's launching globally March 20th. ME: Andromeda is only launching across North America on March 21. It launches across Europe and Australia on March 23...

Trust me, those two extra days are like a blight on my life right now :P.

Is there an app for single player component like ME3 or are Bioware putting too much focus on multiplayer already.
I still believe Mass Effect is RPG first, Action second or has that changed the other way round now?

Well it is a clean slate for the series with the trilogy over and Shepard not involved. I've watched a few videos and the tone is definitely lighter, and at times genuinely hilarious. Watch the PAX gameplay video and you'll see what I mean. Definitely has the RPG elements and the dialog options that matter if that helps. Much more about exploration with this one too. The MP looks good too, I'm extremely excited for this game

Your fears are unfounded. It seems to be even more RPG than the original Mass Effect. Of course there's fast paced action too because it's, well Mass Effect.

How about getting old Mass effect games to iOS?

    • CodeREd

Nah, id rather an HD re-release for the trilogy.

Have the ME trilogy on both Xbox360, PS3 and PC. (It's my favourite series of games)

Definitely would love to have the Mass Effect colllection on my IPad 12.9 and Gamevice set up ready to play and go anytime anywhere.

BioShock was able to run decently on just an iPad Air, with a reasonable resolution and settings, ME3 I'm confident can be run on an iPad Pro.

so if they start with ME1 at 4GB+ and around $15 I would snap it up straight away.
