‘Digby Forever’ is a New Endless Digger from ‘Pac-Man 256’ and ‘Cubemen’ Developer 3 Sprockets

3 Sprockets, who you should know from their solo efforts Cubemen 2 ($1.99) and Outfolded (Free) but also their work on Pac-Man 256 (Free), are working on a brand new game. Digby Forever is essentially their take on an endless kind of Dig Dug or Mr. Driller game. You’ll be digging your way through an endless underground area, trying to avoid enemies, collect gems, drill through blocks, and set off bombs to take out enemies and blocks.

The game gets quite chaotic quite quickly. Cave ins happen as you go through that will drop stalagtites straight down a column, and could kill you. But they could also kill enemies, or trigger a bomb. There’s a lot going on that you have to keep an eye out for. The game starts you out with a set of powerup cards. These cards disappear as they’re used based on game time, and you can take up to 3 with you. The gems you earn translate to coins, and all card packs can be unlocked with coins. Plus, there are some DigBots that can be used to gain gems like an idle clicker. You can unlock costumes, including references to other 3 Sprockets games.

Digby Forever doesn’t have a release date yet, but it is near completion, so expect it in the not-too-distant future. Until then, check out the forum thread. If you’re a fan of ReplayKit live streaming, the developers want your feedback on that.
