‘Immortal Conquest’ from NetEase Will Offer Raiding Strategy with Limited Land to Conquer

NetEase Games has announced their next major title is Immortal Conquest, set to hit iOS and Android in spring 2017. Described as a terrain-based strategy game, you and other players will be fighting in real-time for control of a map with 2 million pieces of land. Now, that sounds like a lot at first, but think that a successful free-to-play game could have many more players than that, unless there are multiple servers. Each parcel of land could become ever more valuable. As such, you’ll be collecting high value resources on your base, and using your selection of heroes to lead your military to help take over other lands. Along the way, you’ll form alliances for control of your land and resource gathering, to try and rule as much of the world as possible. Alexander wept, for he could not partner up with other players to conquer the lands.

While certainly raiding-strategy games are popular, it’ll be interesting to see how a Chinese publisher like NetEase going western tackles the formula, with elements such as hero cards, and the production values of this game. As well, the limited land aspect could add in an interesting wrinkle. KEep an eye out for this one in spring of 2017.
