‘Smash Up’ Launching on PC Soon, Game Looks Fun

We’ve written a few months back that the shufflebuilding game Smash Up is being turned into a digital game by Nomad Games (of Talisman: Digital Edition fame). The game is getting ready to go into Early Access on Steam, which hopefully means the mobile version isn’t too far off. Judging from how it looks in the gameplay trailer below, I’m optimistic that Smash Up will be another great card game port. If you don’t know how the game plays, in Smash Up you get to pick two factions through a drafting process and then fight against your opponent for world domination, which sounds pretty simple and maybe not so fun.

Where the fun begins is in the factions the game comes with. There are Pirates, Zombies, Ninja, Robots, Wizards, Dinosaurs, Tricksters, and so on, so combining those factions makes for some crazy combinations. The game will come with both AI opponents and online multiplayer, and I’m hoping it isn’t far off.
