Supercell has been way too quiet recently, and I was starting to wonder when we would hear about where Clash of Clans (Free) is going next. Well, today we got our first taste of what’s to come; the game will be getting Clan Challenges. In Clan Challenges, Clans can issue a friendly War request (a funny phrase indeed) to any other Clan, and you can choose war participants, set the duration of prep/battle days, and then dispatch your Clan Challenge request to your friends, enemies, or frenemies. As soon as the opponent accepts your challenge, the preparation day will begin.

Supercell is emphasizing that this feature will not replace Clan Wars – and you can’t issue a Clan Challenge while in the middle of a Clan War –  but it will become kind of a social thing. Clan Challenges will help players organize events and meet ups as well as “other online/offline Community initiatives). What do you think about Clan Challenges? Sounds fun?
