We tried to add up the number of cumulative hours that Team TouchArcade has spent playing various iterations of Lumines, but couldn’t find a calculator that could go that high… So instead, we’re just refocusing our mathematical lasers on being super excited for the upcoming launch of Lumines – Puzzle & Music. If this is the first you’ve heard of the game, it’s actually coming in two versions: Lumines – Puzzle & Music is the paid, premium experience while a second game, Lumines VS will be free to play. Well, per Japanese mobile gaming industry insider Dr. Serkan Toto, Lumines – Puzzle & Music will be hitting Japan, Australia and New Zealand next week, with a global launch coming in September:

All that really remains to be seen is whether or not Puzzle & Music will be as good as the classic PCP Lumines we all fell in love with. Anyway, I think I’m going to spend my afternoon listening to Lumines music to get even more hyped up about this release
