E3 2016: We Just Played ‘The Elder Scrolls: Legends’ on an iPad

We’ve been closely following Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls: Legends for quite a while now, as more than a few of us at TouchArcade Towers are massive fans of collectable card games. We got to spend a little bit of time today with the game running on an iPad, and while we weren’t able to record any video, you really don’t need to see iPad specific video as the game is a 1:1 version of everything they’ve shown for the existing PC version. The only difference is instead of using a mouse cursor you’re using your finger, and instead of clicking you’re tapping.

I’m not sure this is that surprising, but any time a game is PC first, it seems safe to assume that something is going to get lost in translation when it makes its way to mobile devices. However, much like Hearthstone, the experience you get with The Elder Scrolls: Legends is going to be the same regardless of which platform you prefer to play it on.

The game is currently in closed beta which you can sign up for right now. It seems like gameplay is far more in depth than Hearthstone which could be a good or a bad thing depending on what it is you like about Hearthstone and other card games. I love the direction Legends is heading, and can’t wait to play it on my iPad.
