‘Fallout Shelter’ Update Adds 3D Touch Support, Item Scrapping, and More

TouchArcade Rating:

Following its big crafting update from early last month, Bethesda has launched yet another update for their apocalypse survival simulator Fallout Shelter (Free) today, this time adding the ability to break down your unwanted weapons and outfits and turn them into junk that you can actually use… for crafting stuff! So much synergy going on right now. This update also adds 3D Touch support for those of you on fancy new iPhones so you can hop right into any of your vaults straight from the homescreen icon. Convenient!

I’m continuously surprised by just how neat Fallout Shelter turned out to be. What originally started as a tiny hype tool for last year’s Fallout 4 has actually become a legitimate mobile phenomenon. Bethesda has been pretty good about adding new features and content to the game since it released last June, and I’ll be very curious if they have anything up their sleeve for the game’s one year anniversary, which is coming up quick. I’m guessing we’ll hear something around E3 time. At any rate, if you haven’t given Fallout Shelter a shot yet, what are you waiting for?
