CCGs are definitely not few and far between on the App Store, since Hearthstone‘s success has become a bright beacon for all who seek the App Store’s riches. Lost Portal, an upcoming CCG, is going a different route than most other mobile CCGs by focusing solely on a single player experience rather than a multiplayer one. According to the description in our forums, Lost Portal involves exploring dungeons and fighting AI enemies and bosses, collecting treasure, and leveling up your character. In other words, it sounds like an single-player RPG dungeon crawler with cards. The game has random enemies and card drops, 175 cards split into four rarities, and over 80 enemies and bosses to challenge across 5 towns and 15 dungeons.
The game also comes with a deck editor, a card shop, a forge where you can get the cards you’re missing, and an ability trainer that lets you increase your various abilities (health, agility, wisdom, and intellect) as you go along. Lost Portal will be premium with no IAPs, so all the gold you earn will be from your in-game escapades, you know, like in the old days.
