Moony Baboon’s ‘Waste in Space’ Submitted to Apple

Back in December just before the iTunes freeze developer Moony Baboon unveiled their upcoming iOS game called Waste in Space. The premise is that in the not too distant future of 2026, humanity has created more garbage than they can handle on Earth, so all the nations of the planet decide to blast all their garbage into space. Except… it doesn’t work out quite right, and now all that garbage is threatening to wipe out the planet’s population by crashing back down to Earth. The solution to this is obvious: Send a team of wacky astronauts into space to fling themselves into the trash to destroy it. It makes perfect sense! Check out the trailer if you missed it before.

Anyway, Waste in Space was originally planned for release in January. Calendar experts across the world all agree that January has come and gone, and so far Waste in Space has not arrived. That’s OK though, as Moony Baboon announced this morning in our forums that Waste in Space has finally been submitted to Apple. They’re hoping for a swift approval process and if things go extremely smoothly they’ll release the game in the middle of next week. Even if Apple’s wheels of approval aren’t quite that fast, Waste in Space is still just around the corner, so get ready for some serious flinging and we’ll let you know when it finally does hit the App Store.
