The ‘Crashlands’ Saga Comes Full Circle When the Game Releases in January 2016

Crashlands, the upcoming survival-crafting game from the fine folks at Butterscotch Shenanigans, has been in the works for a while, with almost two years of active development on the title. But it looks like you’ll finally be able to play the game for yourself very soon, as the Coster brothers have announced that the game finally has a release date: January 21st. That’s for iOS, Android, and Steam. The game will be $5 on mobile and $15 on Steam, with crossplatform support for save games.

This game has had quite the fascinating development process, due to Sam Coster having to deal with two separate bouts of cancer during the game’s development. Thankfully, he’s now cancer-free and the game that he was willing to make his last game before he died, is going to come out, and he’s now cancer-free! That’s just fantastic. Also fantastic, if perhaps trivial in the news of not being alive and seeing your passion come to fruition, is that Crashlands is looking mighty fantastic with beta testers giving it a good final roughing up before it’s ready for everyone. And the game has an infinite, self-managing inventory. January 21, 2016 can’t get here soon enough, eh?
