After a few weeks of repeat performances and build-your-own-deck Tavern Brawls, Hearthstone (Free) developers have finally given us a Brawl with pre-made decks we haven’t seen before, and I’m actually enjoying this one. As you can imagine, this one is pretty much a Mech battle, and you’ll play as either Boom Bot or Annoy-o-Tron. Annoy-o-Tron’s Hero Power gives the lowest attack minion Taunt and Divine Shield and Boom-Bot’s deals one damage to two random enemies. As you can guess, if you happen to play on the Boom Bot side, you’ll get Dr. Boom, not a bad little guy that one. Unlike the last few Brawls, BB Vs AT offers pre-constructed decks, something many were asking for because it allows people without strong collections to compete with the rest.

Still, I think it’s interesting that many over at r/hearthstone aren’t happy with this Brawl, calling it unbalanced and boring. While I can see the unbalanced argument (the decks play differently with one being faster than the other), it’s hard to see how a Brawl with random decks and plenty of Legendaries is boring. For me, this is exactly what Tavern Brawls should be all about: pre-made decks, heroes with weird powers, and plenty of cards that I don’t own or don’t usually play with.
