Pixelbite’s ‘Xenowerk’ Isn’t Releasing This Summer – Because It’s Releasing This Week

TouchArcade Rating:

Do you hate it when developers give estimates for game release dates, and then are wrong on the date? Well, the bad news is that Pixelbite isn’t releasing their new dual-stick shooter Xenowerk this summer. The good news is that they’re releasing it on June 18th, which is three days ahead of the summer solstice, the first day of summer. So it’s technically a spring release, not a summer release. You’ll just have to live with playing Pixelbite’s latest three days ahead of its promised summer release.

The teaser shows off just what to expect from this one: dark, eerily-lit caverns, lots of bullets, and plenty of gooey enemies to shoot up. This might be a bit more action-packed than the slower-paced Space Marshals ($3.99) – not that it was bad in any way, but sometimes you want a speedy game. But hey, like that one, Xenowerk will support MFi controls. Expect this one for $1.99 this week.
