Point-and-Click Adventure ‘The Silent Age’ Episode Two Now Available

TouchArcade Rating:

House on Fire’s point-and-click adventure game The Silent Age (Free) just got updated with its second episode, available now. Serving as the finale of the game, this episode has players still controlling Joe, the time-traveler who’s trying to discover the apocalyptic event that wiped out humanity – and to just maybe try to stop it, solving puzzles by swapping between 1972 and 2012. Episode Two is available as a $4.99 in-app purchase, with Episode One being available for free as always.

By the numbers, there’s 60 new locations to explore. The interface has been improved for mobile, along with enhanced dialogue, animation, and graphics systems. Plus, it’s possible to sync up progress to iCloud.

The first episode was certainly critically-acclaimed and beloved by our forums, so even though this appears to be the end for The Silent Age, certainly getting more is quite welcome. And getting that first episode for free is a great incentive to check this out before paying more, and something I personally wish more episodic games would do, though demos can hurt sales. It’s a catch-22. But hey, if you enjoyed the first episode for free, it might be worth supporting the devs with episode two, or just checking this out for the first time.
