In late June, one of our eagle-eyed forum members spotted a game called Assassin's Creed Memories on Ubisoft's digital gaming service Uplay. The brief description in Uplay pointed to Memories being a card battling game set in the Assassin's Creed universe, and in mid-July that was confirmed when the game soft-launched in the App Store in select territories. As of today though, all that soft-launch business is over and Assassin's Creed Memories [Free] is now officially available.

I haven't personally tried out Assassin's Creed Memories just yet, and to be honest I'm not a huge fan of either Assassin's Creed or card battling games, so I'm probably not the target market. But if you're curious how people are finding the game, you can check out the forum thread for some impressions, or if you give it a spin yourself then feel free to leave your own thoughts there too. After all it's free, so if you're a fan of the game series or card battlers in general you might as well download Assassin's Creed Memories and see what it's like.

Hmm. Weird way to play an assassins creed game

I wish they'd stop doing this. Rinse and repeat and hope for success. You'd think big name developers would get this THIS isn't what we want. Jeeeeeeez oh FLIP!!!

    What the hell?

So they finally have Feudal Japan AC..... But in a card game. Dammit.

    • Septim

The Feudal Japan setting doesn't get enough love in the US sadly. What do we have, Samurai Warriors only?? I'm a huge nut of this time period too and yearn for an AC or any game really, set to it. Card games don't do it justice.

Jade Empire. That was an awesome game. I'm sad that it never got a sequel.

Wasn't that one inspired by China? I need to try it again. Did forget a couple titles though. For shame! How could I forget Kessen III, then there's Nobunaga's Ambition and Shingen the Ruler strategy type games. Sorry for getting so off topic, all this Sengoku talk just excites me a bit lol

      • CodeREd

That was based on a fictional chinese setting, not feudal Japan.

      • CodeREd

Exactly. Feudal Japan is PERFECT for Assassins Creed.

I love just about anything Assassin's Creed related and Im a huge fan of the series, but come on... That Ubisoft really let something like this happen to this awesome game series is way beyond me... What a mountain of disappointment this game was to me... Sorry, guys, but I can't play this crap of a game even if I really, really wanted to. And I thought the Assassin's Creed Pirates game was a bummer? Jeeez!!! Im deleting this game right after I've posted this comment... And just as you guys at Ubisoft know it, I really went into this game with a open mind even though most people have been against this game since the first articles on it started to float around...

Didn't they pretty much end up abandoning AC: Recollections though? That game was great but got bogged down by the usual server problems and seemed to just disappear, I don't even think they list it anymore.

Hattori Hanzo was an Assassin, eh? Interesting.
