It's been a Star Wars-heavy day in the world of iOS news, with KOTOR being on sale and the release of Star Wars Journeys (not to mention the new Star Wars Pinball tables that released yesterday), so let's keep this train a'rolling, shall we? In celebration of Star Wars Day, May the 4th, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga [Free] is having a sale on their in-app purchases.

The initial download of the game has always been free, with various parts of the full game available to unlock through IAP. The current sale sees the unlocking of the Prequel Trilogy Bundle drop from $3.99 to $1.99, and the Original Trilogy Bundle down to $2.99 from $4.99. Or if you want to go big the Complete Saga Game Pack has been reduced from $9.99 down to just $4.99, and includes the previously mentioned bundles. If you haven't unlocked anything in the game before, the Complete Saga Pack is probably the way to go. In addition, an official trailer for Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga has finally been released.

The Lego Star Wars games, and pretty much all the other Lego adventure games based on various movies that have been released, are well worth playing and contain hours and hours of content to play through, including a multitude of Lego Star Wars characters to collect. The only real downside is that the app size is pretty hefty, weighing in at just about a gig, but if you have the room to spare I'd definitely take advantage of this sale. I'm sure there will be plenty more Star Wars related iOS news leading up to May 4th, too.

Yeah, such a great game on such a great sale. I recommend grabbing it for sure! So cheap for the whole saga.

crap! if only I wasn't broke.

  • curtisrshideler

I'd also love to see them release digital copies of the movies this year. Perfect time to do it and take in a ton more money!

How do I buy stuff? I want the whole lot but can't see a buy option.

    • VirtualBoyFreak

I think you had to try and enter one of the rooms in Ep. 2-6 so that it asks "would you like to purchase?" And when you say yes, it gives you all the IAP purchase options. I can't remember well though.

So, they were taking an extra dollar before from people who bought the whole thing at once instead of separately. Sneaky sneaky. Also, all Zen Pinball Star Wars tables NOT released yesterday are 50% off.

I can never tell if they are sneaky or just stupid. These guys aren't the only ones that do it. Many "gem" IAP purchased will have this kind of backward discount that is counterintuitive. Even at restaurants, stores, all kinds of things. Is it preying on the non-observant consumer, or blatant oversight of an obvious price discrepancy. For iOS, are there exchange rate details that could cause it or some other reasoning???

No no no, there is a *lot* more content than just the two Episodes. There are character packs, bonus missions, extra challenges. Believe me when I say you're saving a ton by buying the full Saga, unless you only want just the main story.

Check out all the content in-game, you'll see what you're getting.

      • Jayboy720

Err, two Trilogies* not Episodes, my bad.

  • Roshy

So you save a penny by buying the original trilogy and the prequels seperately

Still waiting for this to be released on Android :(
